I was thinking about what is going on in our church and realized that a lot of what is happening
is not seen by many of you. It is my desire that everyone is able to celebrate the moving of God
in our church. That being said, here is some of what’s going on:
1. We have been averaging 25 kids on Wednesday nights!
-It has been a joy to watch these kids come in every week. They’re so excited to be here!
We are seeing some of them commit to coming every week and they are bringing friends as well.
-This is also presenting exciting challenges for us as well. In the past, we have not needed different
classes for age groups since we only had 7 young people coming. We are now in need of new
teachers for 10-11-year-old on Wednesday night. If anyone is interested please let me
(Pastor Alex) know.
2. Claxton School, as many of you know, has been a wide-open mission field here lately.
However, we are seeing old avenues for our ministry closing in some ways. That doesn’t
mean that God is finished. He is just changing some things. We are seeing Him open
areas for people to pray with teachers during school hours, and having students desire
to come to Wednesday night class time. Pray for those who are there daily. That they
will be sensitive to the Spirit’s leading.
3. Our Women’s ministry kicked off this month with the “Fresh Grounded Faith” Conference,
and the renewal of monthly meetings. Pray that the impact of these meetings is a timely
blessing for our ladies.
4. Keep praying for our church, and inviting people to come! God is moving and doing
“I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it
and come down to you?” Nehemiah 6:3
Church, Keep doing the great work of the kingdom!
